Dr. Boris Henríquez comes from a family tradition in the specialty. His father was president of the Colombian Society of Plastic Surgery between 1990 and 1992 and a national reference in the discipline until his final years of practice. It was in that early environment that Dr. Henríquez’s clinical vocation took shape.
After completing his medical training and his specialization in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, he established his practice in Barranquilla, where he has practiced for more than 26 years with an emphasis on facial surgery, aesthetic rejuvenation and reconstructive procedures.

Every procedure aims for a result consistent with the patient’s anatomy. Surgery should not impose a mold, but improve what is already there while respecting individual proportions.
Ethical Judgment
Every case is assessed with clinical judgment. If surgery is not the best option for the patient, alternatives are proposed or the procedure is advised against. Honesty is part of the service.
Supported Post-Op Care
The recovery protocol is managed in-house, with our own treatment room and an aesthetician from the team. Every patient has a clear schedule of check-ups and direct communication with the surgeon.

Interdisciplinary Medical Team
Every surgery has an interdisciplinary team that supports the patient’s clinical safety. The team’s anesthesiologists are certified in critical care management and are the first ones responsible for assessing the anesthetic viability of each procedure.
An internal medicine physician reviews the preoperative tests and authorizes the surgery only when the clinical conditions are appropriate. Post-op care takes place in the office with the support of an aesthetician on the medical team, who is in charge of the lymphatic drainage and the healing process under the direct supervision of Dr. Henríquez.
Anesthesiology
Professionals trained in critical care medicine and experienced in the different types of anesthesia used in plastic surgery. They are the most reliable clinical filter before every procedure.
Internal Medicine
An internal medicine physician reviews the pre-op tests and performs an electrocardiogram on every patient before clearing them for surgery. It’s an additional safety protocol that is uncommon in outpatient plastic surgery.
Recovery
Lymphatic drainage, wound care and aesthetic follow-up are carried out in our own treatment room under the direct supervision of Dr. Henríquez. Post-op care is not outsourced to third parties.
