Combining body procedures is safe when the patient meets certain conditions: stable weight, complete preoperative tests with clearance from the internist, no uncompensated medical history (cardiovascular, metabolic or clotting) and enough time available for a long recovery. The total length of the surgery and the expected blood loss are key factors in the decision. The planning is defined at the initial consultation.

Liposuction removes localized fat deposits that do not respond to diet or exercise. Liposculpture goes a step further: it combines fat removal and redistribution to sculpt the body contour (it includes techniques such as lipo 360, which addresses the entire circumference of the trunk). High-definition liposuction, or HD lipo, uses additional techniques to bring out specific muscle definition. The recommended technique depends on body type, skin quality and the goals discussed at the consultation.

A breast lift without implants is indicated when the breast tissue has dropped but the volume is adequate for the patient’s body. A breast lift with implants is indicated when, in addition to the drop, there is significant volume loss (common after breastfeeding or weight loss). The choice is made at the consultation after evaluating remaining volume, skin quality and goals.

Each technique has different indications, advantages and risks. Buttock augmentation with your own fat (BBL or fat transfer) requires enough donor fat to be available and is accompanied by liposuction of areas such as the flanks, back and abdomen. Buttock augmentation with implants is reserved for patients without adequate donor fat. Both techniques require execution by a qualified plastic surgeon, specific protocols and supervised post-op care. The recommended technique is defined in the consultation.

Today’s breast implants are durable, but they are not lifetime devices. How long they last depends on the type of implant, on the patient’s body changes (weight, pregnancies, breastfeeding) and on each body’s individual response. Clinical follow-up every 1-2 years is recommended. Replacing or removing implants is assessed when significant aesthetic changes, capsular contracture or other clinical findings appear.
